Officers

The Faded Red Rugby Alumni Association is managed by volunteer officers elected to annual terms. Current Faded Red officers include:

Aviram M. Giladi – President
Avi is currently a plastic surgery resident at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. After attending Cornell University between 2000 and 2004, he completed medical school at Vanderbilt University in 2008. During his time at Cornell, Avi served as the President of the CURFC for the 2001-2002 season and was a regular member of the First XV side during his sophomore through senior years. Outside of Cornell Rugby, Avi played for the Nashville Outlaws from 2004 to 2008, and he now plays with the Ann Arbor Men’s team. He also coached rugby at Vanderbilt. Thomas J. Bachrach – Vice President, Finance
Thomas is currently a finance manager with the Contrack Group, a subsidiary of Orascom Construction, in Philadelphia. After attending Cornell University between 2001 and 2005, he worked for the Contrack Group in Cairo Egypt until 2010. During his time at Cornell, Thomas served as Treasurer of the CURFC for the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 seasons and was a regular member of the First XV side during his sophomore through senior years. Alexander D. Cwirko-Godcyki – Vice President, Communications
Alex is currently a senior consultant with Radford, an Aon Hewitt company providing compensation surveys and consulting services. After attending Cornell University between 2000 and 2004, he returned to his home state of California where he has worked in a variety of research, marketing and communications roles. During his time at Cornell, Alex served as the President of the CURFC for the 2002-2003 season and as team captain for the 2003-2004 season. Joseph G. Bucci – Vice President, Ivy Rugby Conference Affairs
JoJo is currently an associate attorney at the law firm of Conklin & Conklin, LLC in Chicago, where he practices eminent domain and insurance defense law. After attending Ithaca College between 2001 and 2005, JoJo spent time in places like Texas, Colorado, Egypt, England, New Zealand, much of Eastern Europe and Russia working, traveling and playing rugby. During his time in Ithaca, JoJo served at the Match Secretary of the CURFC for the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 seasons, and was a regular member of the First XV side during his sophomore through senior years. Outside of Cornell Rugby, JoJo has played for the Steamboat Springs RFC, the Austin Blacks, the NYS Collegiate All-Stars, the Sheffield RUFC in England, the Awatere RFC in New Zealand and the Chicago Griffins Super League Team. Allison Baker – Vice President, Women’s Club Affairs
Allison is currently a marketing analyst for American Express in New York City. She joined the firm after attending Cornell University between 2007 and 2011. While at Cornell, she was a member of the CWRFC for all four of her years on the hill. During her time with the club, Allison held various leadership positions for the team, including Marketing Chair for the 2009-2010 season and President for the 2010-2011 season.
